Welcome, Travelers!

In this post, I’ll share the itinerary I followed during my two-week trip to Paris. I carefully planned this itinerary before my visit by researching must-see attractions in the City of Light.

I must say, two weeks is not nearly enough to fully experience Paris, and I already plan to return to explore this incredible city further. Here’s the itinerary I followed during my trip:

Disneyland Paris

If you’re planning to visit Disneyland Paris, I strongly recommend buying your tickets in advance, as they can sell out quickly. Additionally, consider purchasing a queue pass to skip the long lines—it’s absolutely worth it, especially during peak times.

When we visited, it was raining heavily, but we managed by purchasing plastic raincoats from the stands, which worked perfectly. My personal favorite rides were the Peter Pan ride, which makes you feel like you’re flying through a magical world, and the Snow White ride. While I’m not a fan of roller coasters, we tried one, and it was an exhilarating experience!

We spent around 8 hours at the park, and it was magical from start to finish. One highlight was the Disney character parade—it was stunning. At night, there was a spectacular fireworks show that made the day even more memorable. Don’t forget to visit the souvenir shops to take a piece of Disney magic home with you!

Eiffel Tower

Visiting the Eiffel Tower turned out to be far more exciting than I had expected. After waiting in line to buy tickets and passing through security, we waited again to take the elevator up the tower. The ride itself felt surreal.

Once at the top, you’re rewarded with breathtaking views of Paris. There’s even a bar where you can enjoy a drink while soaking in the scenery. I didn’t have high expectations initially, but the experience was truly unforgettable.

Versailles

We visited the Palace of Versailles with a guided tour, which I highly recommend to better understand the history of this remarkable place. Due to time constraints, we only managed to explore the King’s Gardens and the King’s Chamber, but the palace is enormous—you could easily spend an entire day here.

To save time and energy, consider renting one of the golf carts available on-site, as walking across the vast grounds can be quite tiring.

Louvre Museum

No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Louvre. Of course, we went to see the famous Mona Lisa, but be prepared—it’s incredibly crowded. Visitors take turns getting close enough to take pictures, but you can only view the painting from a distance due to security measures.

The museum itself is enormous and full of incredible art and artifacts, so plan your visit carefully if you want to make the most of it.

Catacombs

We booked a tour to visit the Catacombs, and I recommend doing the same. Without a guide, it’s easy to get lost in this underground labyrinth. The experience was fascinating and far less frightening than I had anticipated after watching videos online. It’s a unique and eerie glimpse into Paris’s history.

Christmas Markets

Since we visited during the holiday season, Paris was full of Christmas markets. We picked one to explore and found it absolutely worth the visit. We enjoyed onion soup, pancakes, and even played some games. The festive atmosphere was magical, and it added a special touch to our trip.

Arc de Triomphe

The Arc de Triomphe is an iconic monument that looks like a grand gate, but what makes it extra special is that you can climb to the top for a stunning view of Paris. Some people say it’s a better alternative to the Eiffel Tower, as it’s less crowded and more affordable.

From my experience, I’d say both are worth visiting—they offer unique perspectives of the city.

Les Invalides

Les Invalides is a historic complex that houses museums and monuments related to French military history. We went there specifically to see a light show called Aura Invalides, and it was absolutely magical. I highly recommend including this in your itinerary if you have the chance.

Paradis Latin

Initially, we planned to see the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret show, but it was fully booked. If you’re interested in Moulin Rouge or Crazy Horse (another popular cabaret show), make sure to book your tickets in advance.

As an alternative, we went to Paradis Latin, which also offered a dinner-and-show experience. We skipped the dinner and just attended the show, and it was completely worth it!

Lion King Musical

This was, hands down, the best musical I’ve ever seen. The actors and actresses were exceptionally talented, with voices that captivated the audience. If it’s playing during your visit, it’s an absolute must-see.

Notre Dame

Unfortunately, Notre Dame was under construction when we visited due to the fire, but we still stopped by. Even in its damaged state, the cathedral was breathtaking, and it remains one of Paris’s most iconic landmarks.
